The Commodore 64 Book, 1982-199X - March 31, 2008
This is well overdue (Sorry Andrew!), but fellow GTW team member, Andrew Fisher, has recently had his book released to the world - ‘The Commodore 64 book - 1982-199X’, which is a comprehensive guide to some of the best C64 games of all time from that period.
Although it could very easy sound biast, I have just recieved my copy today and it is fantastic! If you love the Commodore 64 and your games, then you will love this book -it’s been crafted with a lot of love and care by Andrew and it’s a highly recommended read. The presentation is awesome too, and already the book has been recieving very positive reviews.
And Solar Jetman gets a mention too in 1991, which is fantastic news in itself that this awesome conversion finally gets the limelight treatment it sadly lost out on back in the day. Grab a copy from the link below…

The excellent ‘Stairway to Hell‘ website for the BBC micro have unearthed a long lost gem in the shape of a game called ‘Eyes’, which was written by Paul Proctor (The man responsible for some Ultimate titles on the BBC). In addition, the game contains some previously unheard jingles by Martin Galway, who did pretty much all the tunes for Paul’s BBC games back in the day.
Check out the main STH website for more information!…
